Founded in 1983 and chartered in 1986, ASSISTANCE LEAGUE of Kansas City, a chapter of ASSISTANCE LEAGUE, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a history of philanthropic service to the greater Kansas City community. 

The organization raises its own funds and has no paid staff. 

All programs and fundraising activities are staffed and operated by over 300 volunteer members with two auxiliaries: Heartland Auxiliary and Assisteens. 

Each year our members donate over 35,000 hours of service and touch thousands of lives in our community.
