ASSAULT SURVIVOR KITS^®

Assault Survivor Kits^® provides clothing and personal items for victims of rape or assault upon release from hospital emergency rooms. Often the victim's clothing is retained by the police as evidence. These kits allow the victims to leave the hospital with dignity.

Since 1992, Assistance League of Kansas City has been preparing kits which contain toothpaste, soap, shampoo, combs, elastic-waist pants, knit tops, underwear and the book Recovering from Rape, by Linda Ledray for victims of assault.
